Pay Package

Working Hours
We require you to work for 45 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. We will very rarely require babysitting on evenings and weekends.
 
Salary
 
NZ$291.55 gross - NZ$54.05 (tax)* = NZ$237.50 net pay.
 
Breakdown:
NZ$5 per hour for the first 40 hours. NZ$7.50 per hour for additional hours; this will also be the rate paid for babysitting on evenings and weekends.
 
*We deduct tax and pay it for you. It includes contributions to the government’s accident insurance scheme that will cover you for your whole stay in NZ even if you’re no longer employed.

Additional benefits (please read carefully!):
 
  • Visa application sponsorship (to meet requirements for living costs and return travel to home country), initially for seven (7) months, but will sponsor application for visa extension to maximum twelve (12) months;
  • US$350.00 towards air fare to NZ to be given upon giving proof that working holiday visa or permit has been approved*;
  • Medical and hospitalisation insurance worth at least NZ$464.00 for duration of employment;
  • Two (2) days paid sick leave in first six months;
  • Free use of laptop with internet for 1 hour/day when off-duty;
  • Use of small automatic car when off-duty (you pay for petrol);
  • Enrolment in Nanny Support service (access to educ. resources, playgroups, networking, etc.);
  • Two hours driving lessons from a professional driving instructor

 *You must show us a printout of the visa or permit, or alternatively log on to the immigration New Zealand web site and show us details of your visa or permit.
